Questions parents ask

What is Mentor?

Mentor is a one-to-one AI tutor from Quiz Portal that teaches children and teenagers thinking skills, wisdom, character, morals and ethics. Lessons are short stories built from the child’s own family, friends and places, so the lessons carry over into real life.

What ages is Mentor for?

Ages 6 to 18, in two tracks: Explorers for ages 6–12 and Navigators for ages 13–18.

How long is the course?

12 weeks, one lesson a week. Explorers sessions take about 15 minutes and Navigators sessions about 25 minutes.

How does the AI tutor work?

The student answers by voice or by tapping. The browser turns speech into text, the student approves it, and Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, reads the answer and writes a personal reply. Tapped answers don’t use AI.

Is Mentor safe for children?

Real people only appear in a kind or neutral light, and private family details are never repeated back. Safety words pause the lesson and alert a parent, three off-topic or unkind answers end the session, and parents can read every transcript.

Which languages does Mentor support?

English, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, French, Chinese, Portuguese and Spanish, for both reading and voice.

How much does Mentor cost?

Lesson 1 is free. The full course is $39 once, or $15 a month for 3 months. Purchases are non-refundable, which is why the first lesson is free.

Does Mentor follow a religion?

Parents choose: universal values only, or universal values with Islamic teachings. Mentor never contradicts the family’s choice.

Do I need an account?

Yes. A free Quiz Portal account is needed to start the free lesson, so your child’s progress and records are saved.
